Every year, SUPER-M holds a workshop for K-12 teachers to develop teaching practices, present example activities, and share our love of mathematics. This year, the focus of our workshop will be on integrating current technology into the mathematics classroom.

Our featured speaker is Frederic Mahieu from the "Lycee Francais" of Chicago. His presentation will introduce ways to improve methods of student evaulation through the free software Socrative, and to give students an interactive and fun way to learn mathematics through apps like Geometry Pad and games intended to teach algebra to students of all ages.

We will also have breakout sessions for specific grade levels led by our SUPER-M fellows. These interactive sessions will demonstrate how technology can be brought into the classroom, and will be geared toward: elementary school, intermediate and early high school, and senior year curriculum.

We'd like teachers and administrators to sign-up by filling out the Google form to the left. Because of our technology focus, we ask that participants bring a laptop or tablet computer to the workshop. A limited number of iPads will be available for those who are unable to do so.

This year, the workshop will be held at The University of Hawaii Cancer Center in Kakaako (Map on the left).
